Best Mido Great Wall Brown Chronometer Replica Watch

The ETA 2836-2 movement is rather common across Best Mido Great Wall Brown Chronometer Replica Watch  and it is also used in another new watch for 2014, the Commander Gent. Despite the movement not being made in house, it is chronometer certified so the accuracy will be on-par with watches at much higher price points.

Now they have released pictures and information on another two watches which may make an equally large splash for the time being, the Mido Great Wall Black Chronometer and the Mido Great Wall Brown Chronometer.

So the case of the brown dialed watch is made of steel with a PVD coating, not solid gold. The case Mido Replica Watch is water resistant to 100m and although there is no picture, these watches do have an exhibition case back. More information about these watches will be available after Baselworld this year. However, I still don’t like it as much as the Multifort Dual Crown which is the watch that everyone will end up remembering after this year.  Picture

The Mido Replica collection was originally launched a while back and has barely been updated since. However, like so many other brands Mido is using popular designs and changing the color scheme to follow the current trends, one of which is brown dials. The 42mm case is made of 316L steel with PVD coating. Contrary to common belief, PVD coating comes in a variety of colors, one of which is rose gold.

The movement is made in house and is common among all of their perpetual calendar watches. It has an impressive set of stats from the company that recently emerged mainly because of this watch.

The movement is so complex and the design, although it is used (to a certain extent) on most H. Moser and Cie watches is so gorgeous that the Perpetual Calendar Black Edition is (at least in my opinion) the Replica Watch that will make this company famous. Another New Watch: Arnold & Son Replica Watch

In addition Arnold & Son Replica Watch also has 2 barrels to provide a power reserve of up to 90 hours (wound from the crown at 2 o’clock). The movement is basically on full display to the wearer because the decorated surface on which the two “dials” sit is actually the plate. So this watch does not have a dial, but uses the movement instead.

Arnold and Son has already announced a number of new Arnold & Son Replica  for Baselworld 2014 including a steel version of the Time Pyramid and the TEC1. Now they have just released information about the DTE (Double Tourbillon Escapement). This watch, like the TEC1, commemorates the 250th anniversary of the brand, which was originally founded in 1764.

Unlike most watches, the dial of the DTE is completely symmetrical and the case is pretty darn close too. The A&S8513 is basically two movements displaying two separate time zones, each with their own gear train and tourbillon escapement.Picture

The case is 43.5mm in diameter and crafted completely out of elegant 18-carat red gold. It does have an exhibition caseback. However, unlike most exhibition case backs, there is no balance wheel ticking away, these are clearly displayed on the front of the watch. Below is a side-by-side comparison picture.  Arnold & Son DTE  Picture MB&F Legacy Machine 2 Picture Despite the similarities between the two watches, the Arnold and Son still has a number of improvements to the overall design including tourbillons, dual time zone displays, etc. Since there will be only 28 pieces in the world, the price on the DTE is $210,000. Arnold and Son’s designers have done an outstanding job this year and I hope to see a few more watches from them before March 27th.

Like many other watches for Baselworld this year it is a limited edition and when they say limited, they mean it. There will be only 28 pieces ever sold. The only negative thing I can say about this watch is that the design isn’t all original. Last year MB&F released the Legacy Machine 2, which had the same sort of dial layout and crown position as the DTE. Of course, the DTE has tourbillons instead of balance wheels, two dials and two crowns, but the similarities are still there.

It is extremely rare to see roman numerals on a chronograph subdial because they can be hard to read and take up a considerable amount of space. However, this did not stop Mr. Speake-Marin and he was able to effectively integrate this feature into the design.

The Speake Marin Replica Watch is crafted out of polished titanium, which will keep the weight of the watch as low as possible. At the heart of the watch beats the Calibre C99001-D, which is clearly based off of the Valijoux 7750. The fact that the movement was not fully designed in-house should not detract from the watch as a whole because of the unique design despite using the world’s most popular chronograph layout. Even though the Spirit Seafire is a “pilot” watch it still offers a water resistance of 100m. In terms of price, that is where it hurts. The Spirit Seafire retails for 7,900 CHF (~9,000 USD). This will not be the last we hear of the new watch because with it’s 3D dial and slew of unique design features, it is sure to have a lasting impression.

Speake Marin has just announced for Baselworld 2014 their first chronograph. However they are not newcomers to the world of complicated watches. Their collections boast an impressive array of intricate timepieces with features that include jumping hours, perpetual calendars, tourbillons and minute repeaters.
